A RECURRING ANCHOR GET-TOGETHER

Signals & Snacks

Learn. Practice. Connect.

Signals & Snacks is an informal gathering for ANCHOR volunteers, current radio users, and Ashley Lake neighbors who are interested in learning more about the network.

Come meet other neighbors, practice using your radio, ask questions, share ideas, and help us continue improving ANCHOR.

Who Should Come?

  • Current ANCHOR volunteers
  • Neighbors who already use GMRS or FRS radios
  • Anyone interested in becoming an ANCHOR volunteer
  • Anyone who simply wants to learn more about the network

What We Do

  • Practice basic radio operation and Channel 20 communication
  • Help with radio setup and questions
  • Discuss ideas for improving ANCHOR
  • Share new capabilities and network developments

Bring Your Radio

If you already have an ANCHOR radio, bring it with you. We can help with programming, settings, antennas, GPS features, and basic operation.

No radio experience is necessary.

Why We Hold Signals & Snacks

The more neighbors who understand how ANCHOR works and feel comfortable using their radios, the stronger the network becomes. These meetings are a simple way to learn from each other and help build reliable communication around Ashley Lake.
